Web Series about Women Truck Drivers Launched
American leaders in leader in the transportation and logistics Con-way is launching a series on YouTube called “Women in Trucking” that features the firsthand experiences of two accomplished women truck drivers and their careers in truckload and less-than-truckload driving.
The series will follow two of Con-way’s top drivers: Ina Daly, a driver sales representative for Con-way Freight and Con-way Inc., and Stephanie Klang, a Driver for Con-way Truckload. The series will be featured on Con-way Truckload and Con-way Freight YouTube channels with regular new episodes.
“This series will provide a view into the lives of some of the most accomplished drivers in our industry,” says Bert Johnson, vice president of HR at Con-way Truckload. “Hopefully [the series will] break down some of the negative stereotypes of truck drivers while also educating people about a viable and rewarding career option.”
Both Daly and Klang have been captains of ATA’s America’s Road Team and both have surpassed 2 million consecutive, accident-free miles in their careers. For that achievement, they were both awarded the CEO Constellation Award, Con-way’s highest employee award for a professional accomplishment.
“Professionals like Ina and Stephanie prove that women not only can be successful in this business, but can reach the highest levels of performance, excellence and achievement,” said Terry Riordan, director of HR at Con-way Freight.
