SA Freight Council to host free Gender Equity in T&L Breakfast in Adelaide

The South Australian Freight Council is holding a FREE breakfast meeting for its Members and their guests on February 25th 2015 from 07:30am at the Adelaide Pavilion. There is a $25 subsidised fee for all non-members and their guests.

The breakfast will see the launch of SAFC’s Skills and Career Management Team’s “Gender Equality in Transport and Logistics: Best Practise Principles” document and involve discussion on strategies to support employers to bring about positive change to the gender balance issue in transport and logistics. Long term cultural changes don’t happen by mistake and with more evidence linking greater gender equality with improved business performance, it is important to understand the challenges specific to each company.

This hot Breakfast is FREE to all Members of SAFC and their guests and in addition to providing you with a copy of the reports and some interesting presentations, the breakfast also represents a great networking opportunity.

To launch the report and to inform our guests both Diarmid Lee and Katheryn Curnow of Leed Consulting, gender inclusion specialists, will be on hand to introduce the document and provide an overview of current best practice with regards to gender equality in the workplace and to explore how employers can use the document to support increasing gender equality in their workplace.

Why not take advantage of this opportunity to reward your key staff, colleagues and customers.
