South Australia LINC: Welcome
LINC is an initiative of the South Australian Freight Council (SAFC).
SAFC is the State’s peak, multi-modal freight and logistics industry group that advises both the Federal and State governments on industry related issues, and is funded by both governments and industry. SAFC represents road, rail, sea and air freight modes and operations, freight service users, and assists the industry on issues relating to freight logistics across all modes.
In 2010 Transport & Logistics was worth approximately $8.4 billion dollars or 6.9% of Gross State Product – in South Australia. On top of that it provided jobs for 29,000 people which accounts for 4.4% of state employment.
As part of its work program SAFC acts as the secretariat of the SA Transport and Logistics Workforce Advisory Group (TLWAG). The SA TLWAG aims to ensure SA maintains a sustainable, skilled and productive transport and logistics workforce into the future.
