Throughout Western Australia’s history, rail transport has been a symbol of connection, expansion and progress. Over time successive governments have sought to leave their mark by widening the rail network to open up new areas of the state to rail travel.
Today, the steel network in Western Australia covers a vast 7,605 kilometres. It effectively and efficiently links suburb to city, farmland to coast and mines to ports.
